About Robert Litomisky

30 years ago I first picked up my antique Nikon camera and light meter, walked out my front door and began a quest for images worth talking about. I wanted to join the ranks of Hollywood’s best visual storytellers, but knew that I needed as many perspectives as possible to truly build a strong professional background in the arts. At thirteen years old I managed to book my first paying job in the Motion Picture Industry, a camera assistant’s job at a charity hosted at Disneyland. This led to consistent work on hundreds of commercials, dozens of movies and countless music videos, forming my style and developing my technical and conceptual knowledge along the way. Throughout this period of my life I honed my craft, and through photography I found my voice.

My style is now my own. I develop bold graphics through color and geometry and look for natural beauty and patterns which convey the mood of my subjects and narrative meaning of my work. I do my best to provide good direction to foster a creative working environment, and encourage my clients to reveal their best virtues to my camera. I take the time to learn your needs, develop your project and work with you until you are 100% satisfied.

por·trai·ture

ˈpôrtriCHer,ˈpôrtriˌCHo͝or/

noun: portraiture

  1. the art of creating portraits.

    • graphic and detailed description, especially of a person.

You will notice that I am a cross discipline photographer by the various sections in my website. These themes all come from two elements: capturing the living spirit, and paying homage to the inanimate. These are the foundations of my photography. The first can be seen in the Portraits, Dance, Wedding and Events Portfolios and the second within the Scenic, Architecture, Food and Product Portfolios. I approach all my assignments as if creating a portrait and all are bound together by the strength of their narrative, strong graphics and a sense of optimism. Each discipline, however, requires a particular understanding of their subject matter  (which I will explain a bit more in each section).

I write this in the hopes that  you will find something meaningful to you here on my website, I look forward  to your thoughts and comments. It is my goal to provide you with work which tells the world who you are, and to work with you to tell your  story.
